Assignment of the GONO Research Fellowship in Clinical Oncology

Thanks to this fellowship, Dr. Ghelardi will spend one year at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, under the mentorship of Dr. Yelena Y. Janjigian, an internationally recognized leader in the field of gastroesophageal cancers.

His research project will focus on investigating the biological mechanisms underlying sensitivity and resistance to the antibody-drug conjugate trastuzumab-deruxtecan in patients with HER2-positive gastrointestinal tumors.

The GONO Foundation congratulates Dr. Ghelardi on this important achievement and wishes him the greatest success in his research activity at MSKCC.
